Wikimedia Belgium npo (WMBE) is a Belgian non-profit organization based in Brussels. It is a national association recognized by the Wikimedia Foundation and represents the Belgian Wikimedia community. Wikimedia Belgium was founded on September 27, 2014, as a Wikimedia chapter by active Wikipedians of the French and Dutch-language Wikipedia in Belgium.
The organization promotes the collection, creation, organization and dissemination of free content, for Wikipedia and related projects. WMBE supports the volunteers of Wikipedia and related projects and helps organizations and institutions to share their knowledge on the Wikimedia platforms.
